Education

Conservation stems largely from appreciation. Through our educational programs, the Sierra Nevada Bighorn Sheep Foundation strives to stimulate greater public concern for the fate of Sierra bighorn.

This summer, Foundation President John Wehausen will lead a two-day field seminar offered through the Mono Lake Committee. The seminar serves as an introduction to the biology and conservation history of Sierra bighorn, and also provides participants with a rare opportunity to observe sheep in the wild. The 2016 seminar will take place on September 10 and 11.
